MISI Kujalleq

At MISI Kujalleq, we work to ensure that children and young people in the Municipality of Kujalleq have the best opportunities for well-being, learning, and development. We are the municipality's advisory center in the field of children and youth (0–18 years), and our everyday work is about translating professional knowledge into concrete support that can be felt in the practices of families, institutions, and schools.

Our tasks are broad: We conduct professional assessments and investigations, consult with parents, teachers, and educators, and help create a common understanding of a child's challenges – and not least suggestions for how to best help in everyday life. We encounter both developmental and functional issues (e.g., language and motor skills), academic difficulties (reading/writing/mathematics), distress, and emotional challenges, as well as neurodiversity such as ADHD and autism.

We cover a large geographical area based in Qaqortoq and collaborate across the towns of Qaqortoq, Narsaq, and Nanortalik, as well as the associated settlements and sheep farming areas. This means that we think flexibly and solution-oriented in the way we plan interventions – and that collaboration and coordination are a natural part of the job.

As a workplace, we emphasize closeness, integrity, and a strong collegial community, where knowledge is shared and teamwork is prioritized. We work interdisciplinary and in close contact with both the social sector and the healthcare system, and you will experience an everyday life where relationships, professional reflection, and meaningful results go hand in hand.
