Meeraq

Welcome to the Nursery Meeraq in Paamiut – a place where the youngest children and their families are met with presence, security, and a staff that is passionate about everyday life in the nursery. Here, the work is about creating an environment where each child is seen, heard, and understood, and where we take into account the individual’s needs and pace.

We work with an appreciative approach, where the children should feel that they are valued. This means that we emphasize relationships, calm during transitions, and a daily life that encourages children to explore the world – while always being able to return to the safe base with the adults.

As a colleague with us, you will become part of a small, close-knit community where we help each other, share responsibilities, and lift together. We collaborate closely with the parents and believe that the best childhood is created when home and institution work together for the child's well-being and development.

Meeraq is a nursery in the heart of the city, and daily life is influenced by Paamiut's local life and closeness. If you thrive in a job where you can use both your professionalism and your heart – and where small progress in the child's daily life means everything – then you will feel at home with us.
