Kivitsisa

At Kivitsisa, we work to elevate and transform education in the Greenlandic public school – across great distances and many different local realities. Kivitsisa means “let us elevate,” and it is felt in everyday life: We are here to strengthen students' learning and provide teachers and leaders with better opportunities to succeed in their professionalism.

We are based on close collaboration between all five municipalities of Greenland and the Institute for Learning and the Education Agency. In practice, this means that we develop and support student-active learning methods, work with distance education and new forms of collaboration – and that digital tools are a natural part of the solution when they make pedagogical sense.

As a workplace, we are a small, virtual secretariat spread over many thousands of kilometers. This provides a daily life with freedom under responsibility, close professional sparring, and a strong culture of finding pragmatic solutions together. We work experimentally and development-oriented, and we are not afraid to test new formats and methods when it can make a real difference for the schools.

You will become part of a community where collaboration across is at the core: between municipalities, schools, and national actors. Our projects are about turning ambitions into concrete practice in the classroom – and about creating frameworks that make it easier to share knowledge, materials, and experiences throughout the country.
