Katuaq
About the company
At Katuaq – Greenland's Cultural House in the heart of Nuuk – we work to create experiences that bring people together across age, background, and interests. We are a vibrant cultural house where there is almost always something on the program: concerts, theater, exhibitions, films, and events that allow for both the large community and intimate meetings.
Our everyday life is about getting many different pieces to come together in a higher unity. We collaborate with artists, organizers, institutions, and the local community to develop and communicate culture – locally for Nuuk and the rest of the country, but also with an outward gaze towards the world. At the same time, Katuaq is a place where meetings and conferences can gain an extra dimension, because the setting invites inspiration and conversations.
Working at Katuaq means being part of a house with many professional fields under one roof. Here, planning, technology, hosting, communication, administration, cinema operation, and café work closely together – and we lift as a team to provide guests with a warm and professional experience, whether they come to a performance, a film, or an event in the foyer.
We emphasize openness and accessibility, and we want everyone to feel welcome. Therefore, language, cultural understanding, and presence mean a lot in our daily collaboration – and we are proud to contribute to strengthening and making Greenlandic art and culture visible, both at home and internationally.
