Kammagiit Aflastningscenteret

At Kammagiit – Respite in Nuuk, we work to create calm, security, and space in everyday life for citizens with disabilities and their networks when there is a need for a short respite period. We are part of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, and our task is to provide a stable and caring offer where the citizen is met with respect, presence, and professionalism.

Everyday life with us is about creating frameworks where it is both pleasant to be and meaningful to participate. When a citizen is in respite, we emphasize continuity, clear structure, and a warm relationship – while also providing opportunities to engage in activities related to the Kammagiit environment. We work closely with colleagues in the disability and social psychiatry field and focus on the whole around the individual.
