At the Social Services Administration (Socialstyrelsen), we work to ensure that children, young people, adults, and families in Greenland encounter a social system that creates security, dignity, and better life opportunities. Our daily work is about translating legislation and social professional knowledge into solutions that can be felt in practice – close to the citizens.

We handle both operational and development tasks in the social area. This means, among other things, that we support the municipalities with guidance, professional sparring, and courses, and that we contribute to developing initiatives in the child and youth sector as well as the disability sector. We work holistically and in close collaboration with many different professional groups because the best results are achieved when we support each other across boundaries.
