Institution Apisseq

At Institution Apisseq, we create a safe and vibrant everyday life for the youngest in Nuussuaq. We are an integrated daycare institution with both a nursery and a kindergarten, where children are met by attentive adults, recognizable routines, and plenty of space for play, curiosity, and development.

We work with a focus on relationships and attachment, and we emphasize early intervention so that each child has the best opportunities to thrive and learn at their own pace. In everyday life, this means that we are attentive to each child's needs – and that we create an environment where joy, initiative, and safety can flourish.

Collaboration with parents is an important part of our culture. We want to be a place where parents feel that we are there – both in the small everyday chats and in the larger conversations about the child's development. The close collaboration allows us to together provide the children with a stable and coherent daily life.

As a colleague with us, you become part of a team that prioritizes professionalism, approachability, and good service – both towards children, parents, and each other. We work age-segregated in everyday life so that we can tailor the pedagogy to the children's developmental stages, and we help each other to make everyday life work in a good and sustainable way.
