Imarsiornermik Ilinniarfik Ilulissat

At Imarsiornermik Ilinniarfik – Greenland's Maritime Center, we work with something that is crucial for Greenland: to educate and qualify people for life and work at sea. We offer maritime education in areas such as shipping and fishing, and our daily life is closely linked to what happens in the industries – from classroom to practice-oriented exercises.

What characterizes us as a workplace is the combination of professional pride and strong collaboration. We are a school where instructors, course personnel, and administrative colleagues work together, and where we have a common focus on ensuring that our students and participants leave here with skills that can be used immediately – with safety and quality as a natural part of everything we do.

We are also a workplace with many meetings across: with students, Majoriaq, shipping companies, the fishing industry, and authorities. This creates a varied daily life, where you can both immerse yourself in your field and at the same time feel that your work has a direct impact on people and society.

If you thrive in an environment with closeness, responsibility, and a clear mission – and if you enjoy being part of developing skills that need to function in reality – then we are a place where you can make a difference together with engaged colleagues.
