Heldagsskolen

At Heldagsskolen – which is now called Atuarfik Ilasiaq – we work to ensure that children and young people with special needs have a safe, predictable, and meaningful school day, where they can succeed both academically and socially. Here you will meet a workplace where relationships, structure, and presence are not just nice words, but something we build our everyday life on – together.

We are a special school under Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, and our framework is designed for students who need extra support and clarity in their daily lives. The school is organized into two departments, so we can tailor teaching and pedagogy to different needs – while keeping focus on the common goal: that students experience development, inclusion, and safety in their school life.

As a colleague with us, you will be part of a close collaboration between professions, where we lift together and share both responsibility and ideas. We work practically with learning, well-being, and participation – and we know that small progress is often the biggest victories.
