About the company

At Greenland's Courts, we work for something fundamentally important: that justice can be served – and that citizens' legal security is taken seriously in everyday life. We are a central part of the society's infrastructure, where we handle both civil cases and criminal cases, and where our work has a direct impact on people, families, and businesses throughout Greenland.

We consist of four district courts, the Court in Greenland, and Greenland's High Court. This means that we cover both local case processing close to the citizens and the more complex cases and appeals that require specialized competencies. At the same time, we are part of Denmark's Courts, and we collaborate across professions and geography to ensure uniform quality, integrity, and a strong legal foundation.

As a workplace, we are characterized by high professionalism, responsibility, and a culture where we help each other – even when the pace is high, and the cases are many. We have both administrative and legal functions, and many of our tasks require structure, consideration, and a good ability to create an overview, because we handle important processes with great significance for those involved.

We work in a bilingual environment, where both Greenlandic and Danish are a natural part of everyday life. This makes the work meaningful and educational, because we meet people with different backgrounds and needs – and because we are constantly developing our service and workflows to suit Greenlandic conditions while also meeting the demands placed on a modern court.
