At the Food Agency, we work to ensure that people in Greenland can trust the food that is produced, sold, and served – and that animals are treated properly. We are a public authority with an important societal task: to translate regulations into practice and ensure that the entire chain from production to consumption is connected in a safe and responsible manner.

In Greenland, we solve tasks in both the veterinary and food sectors on behalf of Greenland. This means that we work with the authorization and registration of food and feed businesses, control and supervision – as well as areas such as the import and export of animals and animal products, certifications, and monitoring and action regarding infectious livestock diseases.
