In the Family Center in Qeqqata Municipality, we work to ensure that children and families have a safe everyday life – and that challenges are met early, close to the family and with respect for the individual's situation. Our common goal is to strengthen families so that more children can stay in their homes and thrive, and so that families who are already in a difficult situation can find their footing again.

Everyday life with us is about holistic support. We meet families with conversations, planning family development, home visits, and various course and activity offerings. We also help with advice and guidance on parenting and interaction, and we can support families who have been through difficult experiences in processing what they have been exposed to.

As a colleague, you will become part of a professional environment where we work closely together and often across – both internally in the municipality and with other relevant actors around the child. The work can be demanding, but it also gives a strong sense of purpose because you can see how a targeted effort can create concrete changes for both children, young people, and their parents.

We have family centers in both Sisimiut and Maniitsoq, and what we have in common is that we are passionate about creating opportunities, hope, and development in families' everyday lives.
