Dr. Ingrids Hospital
- Hospital og sundhedsvæsen
About the company
At Queen Ingrid's Hospital (often called DIH – and in Nuuk many also know it as “Sana”) we work every day to provide safe, present, and professionally strong treatment to people all over Greenland. We are both a national hospital and at the same time a hospital for the citizens of Nuuk, so here you will encounter everything from acute cases to planned examinations and treatments.
Our daily life encompasses many specialties and close collaboration across disciplines. At the hospital, we work with medical conditions such as infections, cancer, gastrointestinal, heart, and kidney diseases – and we also treat children under 12 years old. At the same time, we have a surgical area where we take care of, among other things, women's diseases and childbirth, fractures, and ear-nose-throat issues.
We also have a psychiatric area that offers treatment to citizens with mental disorders throughout Greenland, and an emergency area where we handle critically ill patients. For many patients from outside, the patient hotel is an important part of the process – a place with peace and facilities while one is in Nuuk for examinations, minor treatments, or as an accompanying person.
As a workplace, we are characterized by a high pace, great professional breadth, and a strong community where we help each other – both because the tasks are important and because we often work with complex patient pathways across geography. Here you will have the opportunity to develop, take responsibility, and make a noticeable difference for patients and relatives – every single day.
