About the company
At the Department of Education, Culture, Sports and Church, we help set the direction for some of the areas that matter most in everyday life in Greenland: education, culture, sports and church. Our work is about creating frameworks and development so that children, young people and adults have good opportunities for learning, community and well-being – and so that cultural life and sports can flourish across the country.
In practice, we work both with planning and regulation in the education sector – from preschool and primary school to secondary education, vocational education and higher education. We also contribute to ensuring quality, development and supervision, and we provide statistics and decision-making bases that can be used in political work and in the overall management of the area.
An important part of our tasks is to support education seekers through the administration of educational support. In addition, we work with collaborations and agreements, including international collaborations in the education sector, where there are requirements for both coordination and reporting.
As a workplace, we are a department with many professional fields gathered – from law and economics to administration and policy development. Here you have the opportunity to work closely with decision-making processes, contribute your expertise in a strong collegial environment and help create solutions that can be felt in society.
