About the company
We work every day to ensure that Greenland's living resources are managed wisely and with respect – both for nature and for the people who depend on it. In the Department of Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture, and Self-Sufficiency, our task is to create the framework for a strong and sustainable foundation for fishing, hunting, agriculture, and Greenlandic self-sufficiency.
With us, you will encounter a workplace where professionalism and social responsibility go hand in hand. We work with everything from management plans, regulations, and licenses to reporting and data foundations, which are crucial for making decisions based on a solid foundation. This means that our work often lies at the intersection of biology, law, economics, politics, and practice on the coast.
Everyday life is characterized by collaboration across – both internally in the department and with municipalities, stakeholders, and other authorities. It is a place where you are given responsibility, are heard, and where there is a short path from idea to action when we together need to find solutions that work in a society with great distances and strong local conditions.
As an employee, you will become part of a team that is passionate about making a difference for Greenland. We emphasize decency, clarity, and a respectful dialogue – and we thrive on tasks that are meaningful, complex, and closely tied to the reality that citizens and businesses face.
