At the Department of Finance and Taxes, we work with the frameworks that keep Greenland's economy together – both in everyday life and in the long term. Our task is to support the Naalakkersuisut's economic policy and fiscal policy, and we are involved in translating political decisions into management, legal frameworks, and solutions that can work in practice.

In our daily work, we cover a wide range: from appropriation laws and budget control to analyses and assessments of economic and structural policy issues. We also play an important role in collaboration with the municipalities, among other things through economic supervision, and we work with the Self-Government's economic relations with the state as well as tasks related to borrowing and debt monitoring.
