About the company
In the Department of Finance, we work with some of the most fundamental aspects for Greenland: to create an overview, direction, and accountability in the public economy. This means that our everyday tasks range from fiscal policy and economic analysis to the practical planning and management that brings appropriations, budgets, and larger decisions together in practice.
We are part of the Self-Government's central administration, and our tasks involve both developing and following up on economic policy and ensuring solid management across the community's shared resources. At the same time, we maintain a close dialogue with the municipalities regarding economy and oversight, and we also work on the relationships between the Self-Government and the state, including the frameworks for cooperation and financial agreements.
With us, you will become part of a professional environment where economics, law, and administration meet, and where there is a focus on propriety, transparency, and quality in case processing. We collaborate across units and closely with the political leadership, and you will often have the opportunity to see how your work makes a real difference in the decision-making basis for Greenland's development.
The workplace is centrally located in Nuuk, and we emphasize a collegial community with respect for both professional immersion and collaboration. If you thrive on complex issues, responsibility, and work closely aligned with the broader lines of society, then the department is a place where you can develop and contribute to something that extends far beyond the individual case.
