At the Tupaarnaq Children's Home, we work every day to create a safe and homely place for children and young people who need clear boundaries, calm, and present adults around them. We are a municipal residential institution in Nuuk, where relationships, stability, and everyday life go hand in hand with targeted social pedagogical support.

With us, children and young people aged 4–18 live. Everyday life is built around structure and familiarity, and we emphasize meeting each child with respect for their history and resources. Our common direction is to strengthen the individual's self-esteem, identity, and well-being – and to help them find courage for a more positive development, step by step.

We work closely with parents and networks, even when contact can be difficult or limited. At the same time, we have a strong focus on creating good, safe frameworks, where we prevent conflicts and avoid the use of force as much as possible – through professionalism, clarity, and strong collegial cooperation.
