Ataatsimoorluta Aalasa

With us at Ataatsimoorluta Aalasa, we work to ensure that more children in Greenland have a safe place to belong in sports – regardless of gender, background, language, or prerequisites. We believe that sports communities can do something truly special: they create joy, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

The initiative is a collaboration between the Greenlandic Sports Confederation and UNICEF in Greenland and is based on children's rights. In practice, this means that we help associations and clubs create healthy and inclusive environments where children are met with respect, clear adults, and a view of children that takes the child's well-being seriously.

A large part of our work involves equipping coaches, volunteers, and leaders well. We share concrete tools and knowledge, and we educate and inspire people who make a difference every day in halls, on fields, and in local communities across the country.

Being a part of Aalasa is being a part of something meaningful. We are driven by collaboration and commitment – and we are proud to stand together with the association life to give children positive experiences with movement, community, and safety.
