At Allorfik, we work to ensure that more people in Greenland can have a life with more freedom, peace, and agency – without dependence on substances or gambling. We are a national service where one can receive free help, and where we meet people respectfully and without raised fingers.

Our everyday work involves outpatient treatment and counseling for adults who struggle with alcohol, hash/other substances, or gambling. We follow the citizen in a structured process with conversations and professional methods, and we work holistically together with relevant partners, so that the support is connected to the rest of life.

As colleagues, we are an interdisciplinary community with different educational backgrounds, and we emphasize professionalism, supervision, and ongoing development. We believe in evidence-based approaches, and we are also very aware that the relationship and safety in the meeting means everything.

With us, the management is present, and we strive to create a workplace where one feels seen, supported, and equipped for the task. It is meaningful work – often complex – but also filled with small and large steps forward, which we take together with the citizens and each other.
