Night porter

Are you a night owl with an overview, a sense of responsibility and a sense of good service?

When most others go to bed, hotel life continues.

At Hotel Nordbo we are looking for a stable and service-minded night porter who is willing to take responsibility for the hotel and our guests during the night hours.

You will be the person our guests meet when they arrive late, need help during the night or get up early to get on with their day. That's why we are looking for someone who thrives on working independently, remains calm and at the same time understands the value of a smile and good service - even at 3 am.

Your everyday life – or rather your night – at Hotel Nordbo

As a night porter, you are responsible for the reception and the hotel at night. There may be quiet periods, but you must also be ready to act when needed.

Your tasks will include:

• welcome and check in late arriving guests
• assist guests with questions and practical needs during the night
• handle bookings and work in our booking system Spectra
• answer telephone calls and inquiries
• ensure peace, order and security in the hotel
• prepare the reception and relevant information for the next day
• solve lighter administrative and practical tasks
• handle unforeseen situations in a calm and professional manner
• ensure a good handover to the morning shift

Who are you?

We don't require you to have many years of hotel experience. The most important thing is that you are someone we can trust.

You must be comfortable working independently and be able to make decisions when the rest of the organization is not necessarily at hand.

We imagine that you:

• is stable, responsible and meets on time
• enjoys working at night
• can work independently and maintain an overview
• is calm and solution-oriented – even when something unexpected arises
• is welcoming and naturally service-minded
• has a general flair for IT and administrative tasks
• speaks Danish and English – Greenlandic is a big plus
• Experience from a hotel, reception, service or similar is preferred, but it is not a requirement

If you are not familiar with Spectra, we will of course provide training.
